Here's to my Thatha who taught me about life, who stood by a few unpopular decisions I took in my life,I will endeavour to live by the lessons learnt.

Col. Surender Pavamani lit a candle on 24th June, 2008:

THATHA _ The Grand Patriarch who hosted and attended all important functions!! I had the honour of hosting you as a young Major. You travelled by train the entire length of the country to spend time with us!I remember the long discussions with you sitting in the verandah in Mandavelli, talking about theology, politics and geo-politics, value systems and the weather in Madras!!You prayed for me every time I went to the Front, and for my career and promotion. You had a special smile every time I came back. You presented a Bible which is handy for carrying, inscribed in your own handwriting, which I'm using till date.
Your presence will always be missed.

Ammu lit a candle on 21st June, 2008:

Dear Thatha,

We miss you. You remained a towering personality even in the 1990's. With failing health you faded a little, but still retained the majesty which was so much a part of you!! You were the MC at my Wedding and what a wonderful job you did - entertaining the guests with your wit and charm!

Hope you are happy in your new home with Jesus and Patti.

Love you,
Ammu
